I've been using VFX Connect Clip for a few projects, and it's great when it's working. comp file can be in whatever folder structure you'd like, but if you render to the location that Resolve creates, it will update back in the timeline.

comp file is not needed for the Fusion renders to be read back in Resolve. One benefit, is that the location of the.

When using the "use source." method, the location, and media type is where and what Resolve is looking for in the folder structure it creates to be read back the render back in the timeline.Įven though VFX Connect Clip creates it's own folder structure, as long as you don't need the roundtrip functionality from Resolve to Fusion, you could just saveAs your comp to whatever folder structure you'd like or just move it from the folder.

From what I've found, as long as Fusion can read the source footage you're working with in Resolve, you can use the "Use Source Media for VFX Connect Clip" in the preference panel that pops up when you create the VFX Connect Clip from Resolve.
